I'd try downloading the latest LR as a trial and see if that works. LR 6 has been around for some time now and the E-M5ii is a reasonably new camera. I suspect the issue might be that the version of LR that you're using is too old for the E-M5ii.
I suggest that you remove any M$ codecs for Oly files and then install the old (2009) Oly codec.
However, I discovered that the vintage 2009 Oly raw codec will display thumbnails fine for any Oly camera - including cameras post-dating its release since it simply displays the embedded JPEG that is included in all raw files. I found it didn't support the later Oly cameras and M$ seemed in no hurry to release a new version. I gave up with the Windows codec for ORF files some time ago. The failure to display raws in Windows explorer and failure to read the raws in LR cannot be related.
"Is it worth throwing Windows 10 and back to 7"? - Absolutely, but that's a general comment rather than anything to do with LR! I hate Win 10 - it's just so ugly! Windows Codecs have nothing to do with LR but Win 7 ones should work fine with Win 10. Sounds like ACR hasn't installed properly. However, I used LR 5.7 and it worked fine with ORF files. Richard.I'm using the subscription version - 2015.7 which I think is the same thing as LR 6.7.
Is it worth throwing windows 10 and back to 7 ?. Tried abobe dng converter but it will not see the orf files ?.Īnyone using Lightroom 5.7.1 and have it working with orf files ?.
Windows 7 had a camera codec pack but not one for windows 10 ? I know lightroom should open the nikon raw but should it open Olympus raw.
Hi had to do a clean install of windows 10, (was an upgrade from windows 7).Īnyway bought Lightroom 5.7.1 64 bit and it will not open Olympus raw files, it knows they are their but says incompatable files, also have the same problem with nikon raw files.
